Letter 15 (2017-18)

                                                                                                                8 January 2018
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year.  Welcome back to school.  I hope you all had a great time during the Christmas holidays.  Coming back to school after being away for a few weeks did bring back some tears in the morning, but we soon gained back our confidence and started to play and do activities as usual.  Please welcome our new friend, Smile to our class this week.
Our last week of school was certainly a busy one.  The children did a great job on stage for the Christmas performance.  When the children saw lots of people watching them, some sang louder than usual, while others sang softer than usual, while some preferred to observe what was going on around them.  It was already a great success for every one of them, as none of them cried on stage even though they saw you.  Of course we also had those who preferred to come up with our own acting!  I would also like to thank all parents for providing lots of delicious food for our party.  The children certainly ate a lot, and hardly wanted to leave the dining table to go and play games or open presents.
For the beginning of this term, we will be starting our theme on “Visiting the Farm.”  We will be looking at different types of farm, people on the farm and farm animals.  This week we will be looking at crop farm, the farmer and scarecrows.  We will also start to look at some farm animals.  Please be reminded that Nursery will be joining the Early Years Sports Day.  We will be having a few practices with our PE teachers every Monday until Sports Day.  Please let your child wear their house t-shirt and trainers to school every Monday.
                                                                                Best Regards,

                                                                                Ms. Marizon
