Last week was surely an exciting week for all of us as it was our first time to go on a field trip together. We were blessed with nice weather on that day. As it had rained the night before the day, the weather was not hot, and there was a nice breeze the whole time we were there. We all enjoyed running around on the lawn and picking flowers that had fallen from the trees. We all remembered the rules of the park, and we did not pick any leaves or flowers from the trees. Along our walk, we noticed many kinds of insects such as ants, dragonflies, butterflies, flies, and bees. They brought a lot of conversation within the group. We noticed that the dragonflies flew by the pond, and they reminded us of our discussion in the classroom about where dragonflies lay their eggs. When we saw the bees, some of us wanted the bees to give us honey! Along the way, we also saw ducks, chickens and fish. When we saw the ducks, we counted out five ducks, and some of us started to sing “Five Little Ducks!” The ducks and fish certainly had a good meal with all the bread we fed them. We also had a great appetite having our picnic in the park. Then, we stopped by at the park’s library and were impressed by the variety of story books they had both in Thai and in English. Before we left the park, we all had a chance to plant a tree for the park. We helped to dig, add soil and water the plant. Hence, if you ever go to Wanatam Park in Soi Chalermprakiat 7, don’t forget to visit the park’s library and see our plant which is right in front of the library.
Our Parent Teacher Conference will be held from Monday 2 – Wedenesday 4 April. A sign-up sheet has been put up in front of the classroom. Please sign your name on the day and time that is most convenient for you.
