Letter 35 (2017-18)

18 June 2018
Dear Parents,
Here we are at the last week of school and we have another exciting group activity planned for the children. We will have a good-bye party on Thursday June 21 with some games, and some food. Please sign up to bring some food to share. This is a party to enjoy together with classmates, so parents do not need to plan to come. Also, this is a reminder that school ends at 12:00 for all students, so no school lunch or daycare is provided.
This week we will be practicing for our Early Years End of Year Show which will be held on Tuesday 19 June at 8:45 a.m.  Please arrive at school by 8:15 as we will have to get ready before we go on stage.  If you have not yet sent in the children’s clothes for the performance, please do so as soon as possible.  Please also come and take a look at your child’s artwork.  The Early Years and KS1 Art Exhibition will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday in the common play area in front of our classroom. Details about the art exhibition can be found in the Art letter which was sent last week.
This week, we will be finishing some final activities and giving out the art portfolios and all of the work that the students have completed all year long.  In addition, you will receive the reports and portfolios/digital pictures on a DVD.  These will serve as a record of your child’s achievement this year.
Here in Nursery, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents for your continued support over this school year. It is amazing to see how the children have grown so much within a year. The year has been busy, productive and fun-filled for the children.  You have been a great group of parents to work with.
Finally, I would like to take this chance to say good-bye to all of you. I wish you all a great summer vacation, and will be looking forward to seeing all of you again back here at school in August.  School commences on Tuesday August 20, 2018. Have a safe and happy summer!
                                                                                       Best Wishes,

                                                                                       Ms. Marizon
